Gamaleon Ardya Barata—a name given to him not merely as a string of words without meaning. Gama means “road,” symbolizing the place where he was born—midway through their journey aboard a boat, rather than at home like most children of Everhaze. Leon means “lion,” a symbol of strength and courage, as if destiny had marked him with it since birth. Ardya means “ to be honored,” and Barata is proof that he is the “The pride of Ralph and Henrietta.”

Although both of his parents were from Everhaze, Gale was always regarded as “Everhaze’s miracle child” due to his unusual birthplace. When his mother suddenly went into labor and her water broke, they were fortunate enough to have access to the nearest midwife on board. No one ever made a big deal out of it, but to Gale, there was always an odd feeling whenever the topic was brought up—as if he was never meant to be bound to a single place.

As the second child, Gale should have had more freedom. However, when his older sibling was deemed unfit to carry on the family’s legacy as The Orveil, the responsibility fell onto his shoulders.

Fortunately, Gale was not the type to dwell on burdens. He thrived on challenges, preferring to dive headfirst into action rather than sit still and follow rigid rules. But there was one thing that constantly put him at odds with his father, Ralph—they were both equally stubborn.

Ralph wanted Gale to be disciplined and by-the-book, while Gale preferred to do things his own way. Their debates were nothing out of the ordinary, yet that never made Gale resent his role. On the contrary—he embraced it. He simply wanted to fulfill his duty without becoming a replica of his father.

Gale accepted his fate as The Orveil—not because he had no choice, but because he chose to. However, deep in his heart, one unanswered question still lingered.

With the other The Orveil by his side and Everhaze behind him, Gale continues to seek the answer—through the cobbled streets that have shaped his journey since birth, and under the shadow of the lion that follows him wherever he goes.
