Iris Anastasia grew up in a coastal village where the sea was more than just a backdrop—it was a way of life. As a child, she spent her days by the shore, watching fish dart through the shallows, learning the rhythm of the tides from her father, a fisherman. As an only child, solitude was familiar, but the ocean and its creatures filled that space with quiet companionship. She had always loved animals, from the fish she studied to the livestock she raised behind her home—cows, horses, anything that reminded her of the untamed beauty of nature.

Her fascination with marine life led her to become The Orveil—Head of Brookmere in Everhaze. She had always been drawn to the ocean, just as Sébastian Monreau had always been drawn to stone and timber. They had known each other since childhood, their interests pulling them into long conversations—hers about the creatures of the sea, his about the structures that defied time. Curiosity turned into understanding. Understanding turned into something deeper.

Marriage didn’t change them—it only solidified what had always been there. They chose a home by the water, where Iris could remain close to the sea and Sébastian could continue his work while helping preserve the fragile balance of the ecosystem.

Together, they built a life intertwined with nature—hers in the waves, his in the foundations of the land. And in each other, they found something steady, something constant. The sea had always been Iris’s home. Now, it was also the place where she belonged—with him.
